[solved] Can't upgrade polybar

Greetings,

When I try to upgrade polybar (either using yaourt or manually pulling the repo and running makepkg) I get:

==> Retrieving sources...
  -> Updating polybar git repo...
error: cannot open FETCH_HEAD: Permission denied
==> WARNING: Failure while updating polybar git repo
==> Validating source files with md5sums...
    polybar ... Skipped
==> Extracting sources...
  -> Creating working copy of polybar git repo...
Cloning into 'polybar'...
done.
fatal: '3.1.0' is not a commit and a branch 'makepkg' cannot be created from it
==> ERROR: Failure while creating working copy of polybar git repo
    Aborting...
==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build polybar.

I've tried googling the error but haven't found anything that seems to apply.  I'm not super well versed on git so there might be an obvious solution but I'm not sure how to troubleshoot further.  Can anyone assist?

Re: [solved] Can't upgrade polybar

Delete the local clone of the github repo and try again.

Re: [solved] Can't upgrade polybar

Ah, I thought I had done, but I'd only gotten the one I'd manually downloaded -- the one in /opt/aur/sources was still there.  Removing it seems to have done the trick.

Thanks for the reply.  Solved.
