[Solved] Printer stopped working

Hi,

we use a OKI C321dn from Arch Linux and Windows computers. It stopped working on the Arch machines, but since we don't print very often, i can't tell which update caused this. It just prints an empty page and then this error, no matter what we print (even the CUPS test page):

ERROR:
configurationerror
OFFENDING COMMAND:
setpagedevice
STACK:
--nostringval--
false
792
612
0
0
792
612
--nostringval--
5

It was configured with socket://192.168.0.85:9100 and the ppd file provided by OKI and worked for years. I tried changing the connection method to IPP, but the result was the same. The windows machines have no issue.
Where do I start to look?

Thanks!

Re: [Solved] Printer stopped working

This is a postscript error, usually on top of a sublying driver issue.
Raise the cups log level (don't forget to restart the service), attempt a print and check the logs.

Re: [Solved] Printer stopped working

Thanks for pointing me into the right direction. It was the permission problem described here.
