Easing using links

For example, in this topic I used links to code lines to ease anyone reading to instantly locate where the problem was. You can actually see that's quite useful for discussing on the code itself.

The problem is that posting links in this forum takes a noticeable amount of time. For encouraging uses like the above I suggest that posting links is more straightforward, for example by including the mod DS BBCode.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Easing using links

These forums only run vanilla FluxBB, with no mods.

The only way this will happen is if you can persuade upstream to merge the mod into their mainline code tree.

Re: Easing using links

And how can that make including links easier?  To insert a link, regardless of the tool used, you need to type an actual url and a name.  With that add-on, you'd have to click something, presumably opening a dialog, in which you'd type the url and tab or click the next field then type the name, then click more buttons to accept.  Compare that to just typing the few keystrokes for url tags ... it's a no brainer to me.
