Re: ltmodem-computer is freezing during accessing device LTM0

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does the slmodem driver work with lucent chipsets? Or is it the other way around where the ltmodem driver works with smartlink chipsets? I'm running slmodem-alsa on my Thinkpad T30 without any stability issues.

I got this idea from http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Modem_Daughter_Card_(MDC)
Edit Note: I can't get the url to work right, the extra (MDC) is part of the url.

The Linux driver from SmartLink may work.
Latest version of this driver is 2.9.10 and supports both the 2.4 and 2.6 kernels.

Otherwise try using the slightly dated ltmodem driver for Linux.
The latest version of this driver is 8.31a10 and supports both the 2.4 and 2.6 kernels.

I'm getting hard lockups accessing /dev/ttyLTM0 on my desktop machine too, anyone actually got one of these working with a current kernel?
