Subversion not working

I am working of current and extra. I am trying to install the latest subversion.

It installs fine, but when I run it it gives the error:

svn: error while loading shared libraries: libdb-4.4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Anybody have any idea what package I am missing. I also tried linking statically to the old libdb-4.3.so, but then it complains about some openssl lib missing, but I have installed openssl too. Dont know whats going on, not much help on the internet either.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Hal

Re: Subversion not working

Thanks for the reply. I am updating my system right now, will let you know how it goes.
Just as an aside, was there a way possible to get subversion running without the huge update? Mine was about 700 MB tongue
