Touchpad Not Working:SYNA3602:00 0911:5288

Recently bought this new laptop: Litebook (Yes, I know, terrible buy...) At first seemed worth it & might be a few months from now but right now sucks only because my touchpad is not working what so ever.  So lets begin on what I've researched! I've first started to take a look in the General Recommendations page & right off the bat see the Input Devices: Laptop touchpads section. in this section, I have two choices: Synaptics & Libinput. I have tried the first one many of time with the many different configuration options with no luck. removed the package & jumped over to to libinput. With libinput, I am using Wayland with KDE (startplasmacompositor). According to the wiki, both rely on the configuration of KDE at when when starting KDE & using the keyboard to get to the settings, shows settings that I can change for the trackpad but seem to have no effect while still saving when settings are changed.

But while running:
libinput list-devices >> libinput
I see this line popup:
libinput error: event7 - libinput error: SYNA3602:00 0911:5288 Touchpad: libinput error: kernal bug: clickpad advertising right button

So please tell me in my madness. Is the error from me not configuring something right especially through the xf86-input-synaptics driver or is there a BIOS error happening here? Willing to even try & run some commands that you guys want me run or whatever may be but my goal is to progress & learn much more with Arch itself.

Same issue for me and I'm ALPS too sad(
Attempted kernel 4.14 patch an now attempting 4.15 kernel - not holding on to any hope though.

I have read perhaps there are more fixes due in the 4.16 kernel - may have to hold out for that

Thanks for the idea haphaeu but apparently no dice for all of us...
About a week to two weeks ago, I did try to use the linux-mainline but then again, this is 4.15 so I will continue to stick it out as well.
As a side note for all of us without access to a mouse especially myself being mobile, I've been sticking it out with the keyboard with i3 Desktop which uses keyboard.
A very technical person which is why I use it but also because again, mobile.

Also with some digging recently, I was a little surprised to see some things. Notably, the released version of Linux through Arch is 4.14.15.
Maybe installing Linux Mainline put me ahead or what not unless that 14 is hidden.

So, for the same ID I have two devices...

Actually, touchpad IS working after resume from suspend. But then my system freezes. big_smile
