He AL F!
I'm trying to start my PC using wake on LAN!
The Machine i want to start:
Intel SDS2 with an ATX powersupply
activated WOL in bios
DLINK DES1024 24ports switch
I have tried wol and etherwake from AUR - but nothing works for me!!!
After what I can tell from ethereal - the packets are send out!
# etherwake -b 00 02 b3 50 ed 67
result from ethereal:
0000 ff ff ff ff ff ff 00 02 b3 50 ed 67 08 06 00 01 .........P.g....
0010 08 00 06 04 00 01 00 02 b3 50 ed 67 c0 a8 02 0b .........P.g....
0020 ff ff ff ff ff ff c0 a8 02 0b 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................
0030 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 56 ...............V
0040
And it sending the correct MAC address
But when looking ind etherreal - it says that this is the sender address???
And also - is it anything special about these networkscard.
It's a onboard netcard - and the 12V are connected!
Do anybody have a clue

Well - once again - should'nt it be possible that something is missing in my installation - since I'm not able to get NIC to work - even thoug in bios it says lan ETH0 NIC - enabled?
I'm not at one time been able to start the PC using WOL - but everywhere I look - it says that Connot set wake-on-lan settings: Operation not supported - not setting wol!
And those 2 places in bios I have enabled wake on lan?? IS there something I'm missing..

Well - I found out the problem about this.
My machine aint't shutting correctly down by using init 0 - ! Therefore it can't start with wol! But by plugging the power - it will ! I have now found out that I should be using APM - but there's no support for this in the kernel!
