Bash and ZSH both behave incorrectly: backspace advances the cursor instead of removing characters, auto-completion is completely broken...
Also, some terminal applications fail in different ways:
- tmux: open terminal failed: missing or unsuitable terminal: xterm-256color
- vim: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libgpm.so.2: undefined symbol: wgetch
- htop: symbol lookup error: htop: undefined symbol: set_escdelay
Looks like some incompatibility between versions, but I don't know how to diagnose more the issue.
Reverting to 6.0+20170902-3 fix the problem.
Am I the only one seeing this issue?

Undefined symbols are almost always because of partial updates.

I uploaded today's pacman log in pastebin.
As you can see, I just did an 'pacman -Syu' and have my system up to date.

- tmux: open terminal failed: missing or unsuitable terminal: xterm-256color
I got this error after updating yesterday. I had a detached tmux session before the system update which I couldn't re-attach after the update. Solution: I changed to a TTY and re-attached and close the tmux session there. No issues with tmux since then.
Also, no issues with bash, zsh, vim, htop.

After a restart, bash, tmux, vim and htop work flawlessly.
But zsh is still failing... But only in gnome-terminal! It works just fine in urxvt or in a virtual console...
Have no clue what can it be

I asked for the full pacman log, not an excerpt.
Paste the output of `pacman -Qm` and your pacman.conf.
