My NAS has Pentium N3700, 4GB RAM, SATA3 SSD, 4x i211 NICs. linux 4.15.3-2 boots fine.
linux-ck 4.15 freezes at
Loading Linux linux-ck ...
Loading initial ramdisk ...
but Ctrl+Alt+Del still works.
kernel config:

Yes, I've already read the following threads:

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=231013
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=232347
but none of them resolved the issue.
linux-ck boot had been working good till I upgraded it from 4.14.20-1 to 4.15.4-1. Reused config (/proc/config.gz), NUMA disabled.
Disable MuQSS did not help.
Switch from EFI to MBR did not help. (Yes, I reformatted whole system)
Remove quiet and add loglevel=7 earlyprintk=vga shows nothing.

Are you able to boot to 4.15.6-1-ARCH? Are you able to boot into 4.15.6-1 from [repo-ck] using the same boot parameters? As an aside, if you’re running this as a headless NAS, why use Linux-ck at all?

Thanks for reply, graysky.
I just found that the boot works if "set gfxpayload=text" in grub.cfg.
Yes, I'm able to boot to 4.15.6-1-ARCH.
My NAS is also my home router. I build linux-ck from AUR with customized (minimized) config, which gives me lower latency and higher performance.

So booting with that settings works for both CK and ARCH and without that parameter does not work for both CK and ARCH?

ARCH always boots; CK boots iff "set gfxpayload=text" in grub.cfg.
It could be somewhere misconfigured, but i still had totally no ideas after I compared the .config files.
