Wanted to give KDE a try coming from LXDE... so far not too bad.
But I notice some strange things perhaps somebody has figured out how to resolve.
Namely, in firefox (58.0.2), I can't seem to get any highlighting with selected text, either
by double-click or simple mouse selection.
Works fine in thunderbird, libreoffice and other apps (even Chromium works).
If I go back to LXDE, works fine.
I'm running 'Linux sarchx64 4.15.6-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sun Feb 25 12:53:23 UTC 2018 x86_64 GNU/Linux'
with an NVIDIA GK208B using the nouveau driver.
I started out by installing only plasma-desktop, but have since installed plasma-meta noticing no difference.
Any ideas? config or preferences setting?
Cheers

Is this a vanilla Firefox, without any extensions, etc.? Works fine for me.
Try with a new user without any custom Firefox settings, extensions, etc.

nice idea, does work with new user...
Now I just need to figure out what's conflicting between kde/plasma and firefox.
changing fonts doesn't seem to do anything... I'll have to figure out a way to reset
all the kde settings first...
cheers

Have you configured the GTK theme?

probably... after going back to lxde, blasting ~/.kde4 then logging back into plasma
things seem more or less back to normal.
cheers
ps: things are really unstable now as first, applications like pgadmin4 go black after awhile,
then the whole screen will go black but some apps will come out of the dark...
looks perhaps to in this case more of a nouveau driver issue (perhaps with compositing).
I'm going back to stable lxde for now.
