(SOLVED)Cannot install WINE (x86_64 Arch)

Hey.

I cannot install WINE. I already enabled =multilib=, did "pacman -Syu", restarted.

fgxlW.png

sudo pacman -S wine
error: target not found: wine

I did "pacman -Scc" a few times and chose "Yes" when I was asked to clear unused Repos.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

You forgot to uncomment #[multilib]

/usr/bin/drinking

Re: (SOLVED)Cannot install WINE (x86_64 Arch)

Hi,

I'm not sure if it's correct to reply on this post, but my wish is to no duplicate the same issue in a separate one.

have the same issue when trying to install Wine on my ArchLinux by using the following command:

[root@arch2017gnome etc]# pacman -S wine
error: target not found: wine

I tried to uncomment the multilib 2 rows and execute the same command, but no success. My pacman.conf file have the following configuration>

#[community-testing]
#Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

[community]
Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

# If you want to run 32 bit applications on your x86_64 system,
# enable the multilib repositories as required here.

#[multilib-testing]
#Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

#[multilib]
#Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

Could you please help ?

Re: (SOLVED)Cannot install WINE (x86_64 Arch)

Don't necrobump, you do not have the [multilib] entries uncommented. Uncomment the [multilib] and the Include line following it, then run

pacman -Syu wine

If this is still not clear, open your own thread rather than bumping.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Co … bumping.22

Closing.
