[SOLVED] Input problems with kernels newer than 4.9.78-1-lts

Hi,

I have a problem with my Intel Skull Canyon NUC. I have a small wireless Logitech keyboard plus touchpad (K400 Plus). If I use any kernel newer than 4.9.78-1-lts then I get problems with responsiveness- both the touchpad and keyboard input become unresponsive for a few seconds intermittently but very frequently.

Weirdly I also have a PS3 controller which I use for retro gaming and again, if I use a newer kernel, input is very intermittent and the inputs are incorrect for the buttons I'm pressing.

I have looked at logs and not found anything about input, wireless or bluetooth. I'm not sure what to do as I can't stay on an old kernel forever.

I would try to research what kind of power saving setting has changed its default value starting with whatever kernel version that first introduced these problems for you.

Thanks, I disabled the powertop systemd unit and using powertop manually I can see there is an autosuspend feature for the Logitech receiver which if I toggle to 'Bad' fixes the keyboard and touchpad issues. With regards to the PS3 controller issues, I think this may be the fault of the software I was using (Retroarch).
