Re: [SOLVED] X Server crashs all the time

Please also post the xorg log.

Are you using xf86-video-intel?  If so, have you tried getting rid of it?

Because it may be the cause of your problems.  It has many known issues that are not likely to be resolved and it is frequently out-performed by the modesetting driver built in to the kernel.  I have several thinkpads and would only ever use modesetting: one of them has all sorts of horrible problems under X with xf86-video-intel.

Re: [SOLVED] X Server crashs all the time

From your journal, it shows threads in intel_drv.so, which is the driver shared library provided by xf86-video-intel. If you're curious, you can attach to the core -- see coredumpctl(1) -- and enter "bt" or "backtrace". This should show specifically which thread did the crime. Regardless, it's worth trying to remove xf86-video-intel as Trilby mentioned, and seeing if the issue persists. I personally use xf86-video-intel, but it seems to be quite unstable for some people. If you're all upgraded, and you can't find an existing bug report, it might be worth making a bug report upstream (if you can spend the time to make a good one).

Re: [SOLVED] X Server crashs all the time

Thanks guys for your help. Firstly I removed the xf86-video-intel package but the problem persisted. So I reinstalled it, downgraded libinput to version 1.9.4-1, blacklisted it for future updates and now everything works really fine. Kudos
