[Solved] xrandr --brightness doesn't work anymore?

Hi All,

I used to use this command to change the brightness of the screen: xrandr --output eDP1 --brightness 0.9
After an update, it didn't work anymore. The error message is:

X Error of failed request:  BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
  Major opcode of failed request:  140 (RANDR)
  Minor opcode of failed request:  21 (RRSetCrtcConfig)
  Serial number of failed request:  36
  Current serial number in output stream:  36

eDP1 is still correct. Does anybody know what's wrong?

Solved: restarting the machine solved the issue.
