LVM2 pv-scan on device fails to boot on LUKS encrypted SSD

G'day

Been having an issue lately with my PC failing to boot, I'm using LVM2 with my LUKS encrypted SSD on my volume group which contains my root, swap and home partitions. Only Boot and my EFI partitions are unencrypted.
Recently I've started having an issue with the LVM2 pv-scan sitting on these faults:

A start job is running for lvm2 pv scan on device 254:0 (59s / no limit)
A start job is running for monitor of lvm2 mirr. Using dmeventd or progress polling (59s / no limit)

These are the hooks I have enabled in my /etc/mkinitcpio.conf file

HOOKS=(base udev autodetect keyboard keymap consolefont modconf block encrypt lvm2 filesystems fsck)

Not sure how to attach logs in this case as the only workaround is to keep restarting the PC until it works hmm (usually works on the 3rd or 4th try)
I'm unsure whether this is some configuration error on my part that I need to update, or a bug in the LVM2 package. (I am on lvm2-2.02.177-5)

Let me know what other information I need to put up and how for reference.

Cheers,
