I copied the setup (config files and required packages) from another machine where it works flawlessly. On this machine however the complete nerd fonts don't display correctly.
For isntance instead of the powerline symbol \ue0b0 I get a 'z' character with some accent in serif font. Other glyphs provided by the package however, like the folder or house icon or various git-related symbols resolve correctly.
I'm at a loss as to how to debug it. I rebooted several times, refreshed the font cache, tried using different fonts and I'm running out of ideas. Also I can't find out how to track glyph resolution, which makes this issue all the harder to debug.
Any hints are appreciated.
