It seems that sound is broken in sdl2 games after the sdl2 library updated from 2.0.8-1 to 2.0.8-2. Subsequent updates (2.0.8-3, 2.0.8-4, 2.0.8-5) don't work either.
The games I tested with are chocolate-doom and quakespasm. The error that gets thrown is:
Error initialising SDL_mixer: No such audio device
I don't know if it is relevant, but I am using an ALSA only setup, so I don't have pulseaudio installed. Sound works everywhere else though.
