I've been using Shotcut to edit videos for a couple years now and it's worked great. Now it has no sound. I don't use it every day but, I update my system a few times a week. It happened sometime in the last week but, I can't say when. I've tried older versions of Shotcut but, all of them have had the same problem. So, it must be something else that updated causing the problem. I'm just using ALSA not pulseaudio. I have verified the volume is not turned down in Shotcut and in other apps sound is working fine.
System Info:
OS Arch kernel 4.15.13-1
Intel I5 16GB RAM
Shotcut 18.03.30
I'm not sure what other info I can provide.

I've been updating every day in the hopes that whatever was broken would get a fixed version. Well the problem is fixed. Here's what updated before it started working. These don't look like likely suspects but, it is fixed.

Shotcut uses SDL2. ALSA sound was disabled in SDL2 a few updates ago for god knows what reason, and finally re-enabled in 2.0.8-6.
