Hi all,
I just finished a fresh install on my new laptop and I'm struggling fixing a strange issue.
I cannot switch to TTYs from my Cinnamon desktop (I tried on gnome, and I had the same issue). I can only switch by typing: "sudo chvt 3", for instance.
I'm running Bumblebee as I have two graphic cards. I found a post in which people advise to add sections in the xorg.conf, but as I'm using Bumblebee, it's a little bit confusing for me, do I have to add this section in /etc/bumblee/xorg.conf.d/XX-NEWFILE.conf or somewhere else, I don't know.
Do you know how to fix this issue?

If you can switch successfully with a command it's likely that general configuration is correct, so don't try to think of random Xorg files that might only break the currently working setup.
How are you trying to switch? What kind of laptop are we talking? Are you sure that the F keys don't need some additional modifier like fn pressed to actually act as the F keys?
