Firstly apologies for my english. I am relatively new to Linux and especially Arch, which I am running currently.
I am very interested in Audio and I am trying to setup a good Linuxbased playbacksystem using Arch (rt-kernel), OSS4, Deadbeef (with Petrovs OSS4 plugin). My problem is that In OSSXmix there is only 3 settings under vmix0-src (fast,high and off). I would like to have PX production quality (with extra precision (prod quality with extra precision) enabled. After surfing around the net, I came across a solution that stated that it is relatively simple to recompile OSS4 using ABS http://ossnext.trueinstruments.com/foru … e&start=30. To my knowledge ABS is replaced by ASP. I have tried to find some guidelines on how to use ASP. Information for beginners is relatively sparse. I have never tried to recompile anything. Can someone in this forum help my in the right direction? Greetings!

Welcome to Arch.
Your english looks ok (to another non-native speaker), though you may want to use a bit more linebreaks.
ABS meant Arch Build System, there was also a command with the same name that was used to checkout the full tree using svn.
The latter one is the one that's replaced by asp .
For building the Open Sound System however asp won't be useful as OSS is no longer in official repos.
OSS is now maintained in the AUR (Arch User Repository) .
Read https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ar … Repository thoroughly.
The stuff needed to build OSS yourself from AUR can be found here : https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/oss
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
(A works at time B) && (time C > time B ) ≠ (A works at time C)

Thanks for your quick response.
I'll investigate the AUR

Be careful as OSS will not compile under kernel 4.15. You have to use <4.15 to use OSS.
