[Solved] Update showing Gnome Software put not in Pacman

Pacman, Yaourt and pacaur all tell me that I am up to date.  But Gnome Software has one update listed:  Gnome Application Platform Versio... wish a description saying "Shared Libraries Used by GNOME Applications."  When I click on it to bring up more information it says "No Update Description Available."

Any idea what this phantom update is?

Are you using flatpak? Gnome Software is a flatpak frontend as well, so it's probably trying to update application platform used by flatpak apps, and those are not tracked by pacman.

as Xabre mentioned, these are flatpak updates. you can try

$ flatpak update

to see whats going on behind gnome-software's progress bar.

Thank you everyone.  I believe I do have a flatpak installed.  I'll check it out in a few minutes.

It was Flatpak doing it.
