I seem to be affected by this kernel bug: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=195471
Since it seems I have to wait for a kernel patch to fix it, I want to disable suspend on lid close for the time being. But I have not had any success with that. Here's what I've tried:
- Checked the BIOS to see if there are any power management options in there -- there are none
- Edited logind.conf to set all the lidswitch options to "ignore", rebooted the system. It still suspends on lid close.
- (after the above) tried again in a tty, same behavior.
- Checked acpid handler.sh, didn't find anything in there that would suspend the system after lid close -- all it does is send log messages
I don't have any fancy DE installed (i3 only, with startx) and like I said I get the suspend on lid close behavior even in at tty only, so I'm at a loss as to how to get my system to stop suspending on lid close.
Any suggestions?
