[Solved] Ctrl + W doesn't work on Hebrew keyboard layout

Hi
I'm new to Arch, my installation went well so far, most of the problems I managed to solve so far. The problem I'm facing now is that the Ctrl + W combination on Chromium doesn't work when I'm on the Hebrew layout.
I used a keyboard tester to test the keyboard and I found out that since on the Hebrew layout the W key is actually a single quote (') it reads it as the corresponding key in the English layout.  Same problem with the Q key, as you can see in this image

Any way to make it work other than changing the Hebrew layout?
Thanks

Edit: I think it was the desktop that I used by the time that caused this problem, I think it was MATE that I used by that time, I now moved on to KDE Plasma and the problem is gone
