[SOLVED] Chromium 65's built-in ad blocker

I have found that Google Chrome 65 has a built in ad blocker but Arch's Chromium does not have one.
I wonder how to turn on the built-in ad blocker?

The Google Chrome's Ad blocker is like this in the site setting:

That blocker punishes websites instead of advertising networks.
basically it let's any ad through that does comply with https://www.betterads.org/

Other then that, this is google proprietary code, not opensource code.
If you want it, you need to install chrome from AUR

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

Non free does not prevent it appearing in arch repository just like pepper-flash. I wonder if the built-in ad blocker is a compiling flag or different component.

Re: [SOLVED] Chromium 65's built-in ad blocker

pepper-flash is provided separately from the chrome browser, and therefore can be packaged. The adblocker is only available bundled with chrome. You might be able to extract it and use it with chromium, but why would you care about the built-in blocker if there are alternatives like adblock (plus), or ublock (origin)?

Looks like this feature was disabled by default in Chromium 65 but is enabled in Chromium 66.

So you should have that preference after updating to chromium 66.0.3359.117-1 (will appear in [extra] soon).
