teamspeak3 client doesn't remember settings

hi

since a few days the ts3 client forgets everything after restarting the application.
The folder ~/.ts3client is created, also the files in it (e.g. settings.db) but when restarting ts3, it doesn't load anything and createes a new ID.

Things I tried:
- I don't remember that I have changed anything than the normal updates.
So I have just tried a full downgrade of the system to the beginning of March (like described here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ar … ific_date).
Nothing changed.

- I created a new User with a new home.
Same problem.

- started with root (I know it's not safe, but I had to try)
This works! With root it remembers the settings (saved in root-home) but I don't want to run ts3 with root.
I have no idea why it's working with root.

- the logs from ts3 don't say anything usefull. But according to it the settings are read: (maybe they are never written into the file? but why? it can create the file...)

18.04.18 17:37:51	ClientUI	Info	Using configuration location: /home/arch2/.ts3client/settings.db

- downloaded ts3 from the homepage and started it directly
same problem.

- downgraded ts3 to 3.1.6-1
no luck.

And now I have no more ideas.
