ugly icons in KDE

Dunno if this problem affect other people, but l have seen that KDE desktop icons in Arch look jagged, compared to other distros on my computer.  I included a link to show you what I mean.

k_button.png

The image of the left is how they look and the right is how they should look.

This is also visible on the image that appear in the default Konqueror page about:konqueror where the Konqueror letters at the top right looks jagged.

For the research  I have done in other forums, apparently it has something to do with alpha blending.

Note: I have seen this problem from aprox. kde 3.5.1  (no specific dates sorry).  Dunno if was a problem after xorg7 or a qt problem.

Re: ugly icons in KDE

I'm using KDE with the Slick Icon set, so I have nothing there to compare with the KMenu button. But when I tried about:konqueror, 'Konqueror' is nice and smooth. Actually, all of KDE looks good on both my Arch boxes.

Re: ugly icons in KDE

I don't have KDE installed atm so I can't compare either. But does other icon sets look nice? Have you looked through kcontrol, is there any antialiasing settings or something there?
