Well, my printer always worked by pairing hplip version with the aur package (proprietary plugin) hplip-plugin.
I upgraded my system after two years:
koko@slimer# pacman -Q hplip
hplip 3.18.3-2
koko@slimer# pacman -Q hplip-plugin
hplip-plugin 3.18.3-1
But if i try to scan or print, i've in the journal:
apr 23 09:52:26 slimer /hp-scan[19206]: common/utils.c 173: validate_plugin_version() Plugin version[3.18.3] mismatch with HPLIP version[3.16.3]
...so i ran hp-doctor (from hplip official package) and it said:
HP Linux Imaging and Printing System (ver. 3.16.3)
...what the !?
...next i decided to downgrade hplip-plugin to 3.16.3 by manually editing the PKGBUILD, and now it works right.
I'm wondering if it is supposed to work that way, if i'm doing something wrong, or if there is a problem in extra/hplip or maibe in the aur plugin.
Someone?
