[SOLVED] passive/bouncing cursor in plasma 5?

Is it just me, or the bounginc cursor or even the passive cursor stopped working completel as launch feedback(s)?
Startup feedback in taskbar works.

It seems to work only when the compositor is using the Opengl Backend;
xrender or no compositor att all won't even display the busy static cursor (!)
