Dear all,
this issue might exists since a few days (<7 days). I didn't pay attention since I had a lot of stuff open on my laptop (Lenovo T470).
Symptoms
After restart, all 4 CPUs are at ~30% usage. The load increases up to ~90% over some time of running. RAM looks fine.
Debugging
Here is a very small fraction of the output of journalctl. I tried to write it to a file to see the end, but I stopped it at a file size of 130MB.

This repeats just over and over again.
My SQLite version is the latest, of course (though it should be higher than 3.7?!)
cat /var/log/pacman.log | grep sqlite
[...]
[2018-04-12 19:05] [ALPM] upgraded sqlite (3.23.0-1 -> 3.23.1-1)
Since there is a lot glibc stuff in the stacktrace:
cat /var/log/pacman.log | grep glibc
[...]
[2018-04-25 03:14] [ALPM] upgraded glibc (2.26-11 -> 2.27-2)
..it is recently updated. So it might be it? Unfortunately, I really can't fix that nor could find something in the bugtracker nor google.

Hi,
this problem has already happened to me several times.
Searching for kactivitymanagerd yields multiple results among them: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=235678 Likely some database file got corrupted.
I removed the folder, but doing this I loose all my favourites apps in menu bar. Is there a way to prevent database corruption and/or menu settings deletion?
Thanks
