Elantech tap click don't works on LXDE

I have an Acer ES1-531 laptop. It has an Elantech touchpad, which works perfectly with XFCE and Gnome. But LXDE identifies it as a mouse, and therefore don't let me set the tap to click. This way a little uncomfortable to use them together. It seems illogical to me, I thought for the touchpad all of them uses the same libinput package. Is there any way to change LXDE-s behaviour?

Do you have xf86-input-synaptics installed?
if not,

sudo pacman -S xf86-input-synaptics

Hope it helps!

Re: Elantech tap click don't works on LXDE

As the Synaptics driver is no longer updated, you may be better using libinput.

For LXDE you will need to add xf86-input-libinput and xorg-xinput.

Follow the Wiki for details about configuring touchpad behaviour.
