Install restarts after loading /boot/x86_64/archiso.img

Computer: HPE-210f
CPU: AMD Phenom ii x945

During boot:

Loading boot/x86_64/vmlinuz... ok
Loading boot/intel_ucode.img... ok
Loading boot/x86_64/archiso.img...

I am not sure but I believe it said ok, Then two more lines were displayed and then the computer restarted. It happens too fast. When I tried an old slackware cd a kernel for a i686 cpu was used, and I was able to access a shell without any problems.  The computer comes with windows 7 64bit. I am under the impression that this chip is x86-64. Is this incorrect? I am not sure how to go about this. Thanks.

notes:
I tried the same usb stick I used to install arch on my zenbook using dd.
I made another usb stick using rufus.
I also tried a arch iso cd made in windows 7.
All the same results.

disk uses MBR scheme.

Should I press tab and get rid of the intel ucode parameters? Or some other edit?

Not loading Intel microcode on an AMD sounds like a prudent thing to do.

I tried it after I made that edit.  Same thing, the computer restarts after/during loading of the x86_64/archiso.img.
I am pretty sure it says something after but I am not sure. It restarts so fast.

It does say OK after loading archiso.img
Then it restarts.

I faintly remember some Pavilions being dicks and requiring some parameter like acpi=noirq or noapic or something along the lines.

Re: Install restarts after loading /boot/x86_64/archiso.img

The arch i686 iso loads up great.

# lscpu
Architecture: i686
CPU op-Mode(s): 32-bit, 64-bit

I believe I am just going to have to go with the i686 kernel. I tried a bunch of different kernel parameters with the x86-64 iso, including debug ones, but the computer just restarts every time.

Arch no longer supports 32-bit systems. Where did you get that image from?

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

From the "unsupported" Arch32 site. This was just used as a test to see if the i686 kernel will load. Which it did. My goal is to install arch from the supported x86-64 iso, which does not work on my computer.  My computer should work with the x86-64 iso. When using the Hardware Detection Tool under Processor/x86_64 it says Yes.
