Hello. I don't know if this sounds strange but the SDDM login screen doesn't get an input of certain letters (I, in my case) using the physical keyboard. However, if I try to bypass typing i (in the password) by turning Caps Lock on and pressing Shift + I, then it works. This makes the situation even strange. Simple googling doesn't take me to any solution. I, in fact, initially didn't understand why I couldn't login until I finally figured out that i wasn't getting input into the password box. Keyboard isn't faulty. Thanks.

Have you tried logging via the virtual keyboard on SDDM? What layout do you have on your virtual keyboard?

Yes, sounds strange ;-)
Can you spot a pattern on the "broken" symbols (are any lower case/all upper case ones affected, a row, a column, .... or is it indeed *only* the "I")?
Try to run "xev -event keyboard" on the SDDM display (eg. either from VT1 or an ssh login) to see what events actually occur when pressing SHIFT+I (w/ and w/o caps-lock)
Also, try swapping xf86-input-libinput for xf86-input-evdev (just installing the latter should do) to see whether the issue is limited to the xorg input driver.
