Hi, i try to install Vmware, but this Question is my problem
What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running
kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include]
Which is the right Directory?
Have you tried to turn it off and on again?

it looks like you are installing using the vmware files from vmware.com, try using the vmware package in AUR, it works very well!
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?d … s=0&SeB=nd

And how must I install these pkg?

packages in AUR are great, and easy to install, here is the wiki on it:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/New … guidelines
and for the sake of simplicity here is a basic walkthrough:
make sure the listed dependencies are met
download the tarball
extract the tarball (tar xvf nameofpackage)
cd into the new vmware folder
run makepkg (this mill make a archlinux package)
than run
pacman -A name-of-package
then run the vmware-config.pl of course
this needs to be done as root of fakeroot

Thanks it works fine
Have you tried to turn it off and on again?

I've followed instructions about installing vmware in arch with aur info but I've an error while installation...
[root@koven vmware-workstation]# vmware-config.pl
Unable to open the installer database /etc/vmware/locations in append-mode.Execution aborted.
And this from vmware-config.pl
[root@koven vmware-workstation]# vmware-config.pl
Unable to find the answer LIBDIR in the installer database
(/etc/vmware/locations). You may want to re-install VMware Server.Execution aborted.
After a succesful makepkg installation with fakeroot...Any idea is really good...
