CS-GO Fullscreen-Windowed mode minimizes with Alt+Tab

Hello, I'm running Gnome 3.28.1 and for some reason CSGO refuses to go windowed fullscreen mode. When set to windowed full screen mode the game will minimize for any focus change or alt+tabbing. Also, in game if I have the overlay on and I recieve a steam message I will be minimized out of my game... This is an annoying bug to happen seeing as how well CSGO runs in arch. Anyone else have this issue or have any work arounds? This happened running in both Steam runtime and flatpack installations. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that's normal behaviour and I wonder what you'd expect to happen instead? Also since that's usually a SDL window there are certain manipulations one can do with SDL env variables and/or window manager rules. You should elaborate on what you'd actually expect to happen, what your setup is though, as your description so far sounds like what I'd expect.

And FWIW something you will want to rule out before looking at anything else, are you on Wayland? Can you reproduce the same "faulty" behaviour if you are using a standard Xorg session?
