I have an optimus laptop that has a discrete graphic card from nvidia.
I recently reinstalled archlinux but now I cant get optrirun or primusrun ro work.
after check I saw this error
sudo insmod /lib/modules/4.16.8-1-ARCH/extramodules/nvidia.ko.gz
insmod: ERROR: could not insert module /lib/modules/4.16.8-1-ARCH/extramodules/nvidia.ko.gz: No such device
but the file exists.
I have restarted the laptop but still it wont work.
any idea hwo to fix this?

Do the 396 drivers support your card?

I am not sure.
so if it just got unsupported by it then it gives that error?

guess my laptop is now officially ancient.
