Hello All,
I would like to have my wifi up and connected during the boot process.
What i have to do now to make my wifi running is :
1. leave the cinnamon login and switch to console mode
2. turn off the wifi interface (ip link set wlp3s0 down)
3. run wifi-menu
4. switch back to cinnamon graphic interface
I rode in another topic that network manager, wifi-menu, netctl should not run at the same time.
I there any topic that can give some explanation ?
Thanks in advance

If you want to stay on NetworkManager, configure the connection you want to have available as a system connection and available to all users, that will make NetworkManager itself handle the secrets for the connection and will connect as soon as possible. The "drawback" is that your psk will be stored plaintext in a root readable directory.

Hello,
Thanks for your quick reply.
What I want is to have the wifi enabled at boot. Even if the wifi is connected, the desktop network manager is showing that there is no connexion.
I guess, the solution is between netctl, networkmanager and wi-fi-menu.

The cinnamon desktop manager will use NetworkManager configure networkmanager properly: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NetworkManager disable/ do not use netctl or wi-fi menu.
Mod note: Not a networking issue moving to NC

....Well, I guess you could essentially solve getting your car's oil changed by just buying a new car....
Reinstalling the entire OS to fix this issue was probably a bit of overkill though.

Hello,
Unfortunately, the issue came back.
I should have missed something from finishing the system installation, adding a desktop interface.
I keep the topic [SOLVED], a bit frustrated

This time, I can tell that I solved it.
Thanks to the wiki you sent and some research.
Like a lot of issues, once you fix it, you always tell it is not that hard
