Hey,
hope you might be able to help me troubleshoot my fan problem.
Sometimes if I wake my laptop from hibernation/sleep the fan(s) are loud and spinning w/o end. The only solution would be send the laptop back to hibernation via closing the lid and waiting a few seconds or a shutdown.
Simply sending to hibernation does not do the trick all the time, so I have to shut it down completely.
Here I have screenshot from glances: https://imgur.com/a/VJ578Fz
I am not sure if this is enough info but I don't know how to troubleshoot this.
Current setup:
Thinkpad T470;
no swap Partition (or a swap file for that matter);
Using awesome wm
Anything else I could check or provide Info?
Thanks in advance
Edit:
Updating the BIOS seems to have resolved the issue. It's been a week now and the fans are working just fine now.

Any ideas?

Try updating your system. There was an issue with fans a little while back and a newer kernel seems to have solved it. Maybe a newer kernel will solve your problem too.

Thank you. I apply updates regularly. That seems not be my solution
