Recently I have run into the problem that pip is giving me the following error when updating pips:
pip is configured with locations that require TLS/SSL, however the ssl module in Python is not available.
What has caused this to happen? Also I can no longer install pip packages as
--user
.
What might have caused it is that I tried to install the
gnss-sdr-git
package from AUR, and that package requires
gnutls-openssl
. However, this install could not compile successfully, and I think the issue started after this happened.
I have tried to reinstall
openssl
and
python
, but to no avail.

I am getting the same thing. Have you found a solution?

Not a pacman issue, moving to AUR Issues...

Have you tried switching back from AUR/gnutls-openssl to Core/gnutls ?
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
