I know this is old but maybe someone how to fix this issue now
Right now my temporary fix to turn on the back-light of my keyboard is using windows installer iso this is the working solution i find on google
but the problem of this temporary fix is when i turn off my laptop completely unplug from the outlet the keyboard back-light is turn off again
so i need to use the windows installer to work again. Maybe someone have permanently fix for this issue thanks.
update:
the problem is the bios reset every boot on non-windows os
