Booting Archlinux on Mac Mini 2,1

Hey,

I've successfully installed Archlinux on my Mac Mini 2,1 (Core 2 Duo).
I've understood that I'll need to use 32bit EFI to boot Arch.
I've partitioned the Hard Drive as follows:

partition mountpoint size type label
/dev/sda1 /boot 512MB vfat EFI
/dev/sda2 adjust LVM LVM

I've tried to install GRUB to boot the Arch linux with the following command:

grub-install --target=i386-efi --efi-directory=/boot --bootloader-id=Archlinux

The command went successfully, but my Mac Mini haven't found the bootloader and couldn't boot Arch.

I've then removed GRUB, and tried to install Syslinux bootloader.
I've followed the instructions here, and eventually I still wasn't ablt to boot Arch.

Before I'm trying to use another bootloader, could anyone tell me what am I doing wrong?
Should the partition table be MBR or GUID (GPT)?
Any help would be appreciated.

GUID

Edit: I have installed Arch once on a MAC.  I found refind worked swimmingly.
