I know this sounds stupid, like it's probably my fault, but I don't think it is.
A few days ago (don't know when exactly- anything up to 2 weeks ago) I submitted a pretty large post to the pacman section of the forum. As I had written a lot and had left a gap of several hours between loading the page and submitting I copied the body to a temp file before submitting and checked to make sure it had appeared. It had, so I left my temp file to be deleted.
Now I've searched for all posts by me, both globally and in that forum, and I've searched for it by subject, but now I cannot find my thread. Where has it gone? It was right there!
I was titled something like "pacman and backups - list all files that cannot be restored from packages".
Anyone know how that happened?

I don't see any posts like that from you either. I know I didn't delete it and I'm sure the other mods didn't as well.
It is possible you tried posting the message at the exact wrong time say when dibble was upgrading the forums. Looks like you'll have to repost it again unfortunately, sorry.

FTR, I also never saw or deleted the post. Sorry for the inconvenience, sounds strange. :-(

Yes, in fact it happened to me on some past upgrades. Very frustrating... :x

That's a bit annoying.
Oh well, thanks for your help.
