Neofetch freezes but only when using KDE Plasma

When I run neofetch on a Gnome environment the program runs without a hitch and I get the full output. But when running neofetch on a KDE Plasma environment the program displays everything up to terminal font. It does not display the CPU, GPU, Memory, or Color Palette. My system then freezes and I am unable to drop into another tty. I must reboot my computer. Are there any logs I can check or known problems with neofetch and KDE? Any help would be much appreciated.

I have tried versions 4.0.2, 4.0.1, 4.0.0, and 3.4.0 and have encountered the same problem with all of them.
