secondary screen on Wayland doesn't "quite" wake up

After the pc goes to sleep, when I wake it up the secondary screen doesn't come up...
it's not like the screen continues to sleep, but the backlight in the monitor remains off.

I first thought it could be a monitor issue, however if I un-maximize the window on the second screen, it lights up!
but if I maximize it again, it also goes blank again. And this issue is not observed at all in X11.

I have also recorded a video  showing this... ( sorry about the blurred image)

Note sure if it's applicable or not but I've seen some strange DPMS issues, I see that you are running wayland and I have no experience there yet, so not sure if this makes sense
