Problem with amdgpu driver during boot

Whenever i try to boot arch installer the screen freezes and then the gpu fans start to spin at maximum speed. However this is an issue with every linux distro i have tried right now.. The only solution to this is to add amdgpu.dpm=0 to kernel boot parameters. The problem is that its a bit strange because i never needed to do this, this happened randomly when i removed my gpu to install a new cpu cooler.. at first i thought the gpu isnt installed correctly but apparently this isnt the case.. My main concern is that if i disable dynamic power management i lose the temperature sensor for my gpu. Its pretty weird though... any ideas why the gpu works only with dpm disabled ? its a Sapphire R9 380X 4GB. Also, is there any downside in disabling dpm ?

It seems you need two kernel parameters to make things work with recent kernels : amdgpu.dc=1 amdgpu.dpm=1

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

(A works at time B)  && (time C > time B ) ≠  (A works at time C)

i tried these parameters but it still doesnt work... i must set amdgpu.dc=0
