Nvidia Bumblebee -> Rocket League doesn't run smoothly [100+fps]

Hi, guys, i recently switched from a Nvidia GTX680 to a GTX980 and i noticed that Rocket League doesn't run smoothly, it's really choppy even though the Steam Overlay FPS counter shows 100+ fps most of the time. This is not the case with Unigine Heaven, it runs very nicely without any significant fps drop. I'm using as launch option

 vblank_mode=0 primusrun %command%

but i also tried with

vblank_mode=0 optirun -b primus %command%

and it doesn't make any difference.

What could it be? Thanks for the support.

Re: Nvidia Bumblebee -> Rocket League doesn't run smoothly [100+fps]

I searched for "rocket league choppy" and the first hit was already the most likely solution. It seems Rocket League has microstutter issues with the combination of a limited framerate and the absence of vsync. Look into "AllowPerFrameSleep=".

EDIT: There are tons of threads about Rocket League on Linux out there. It seems to be no uncommon problem and not related to Optimus.

Already tried but unfortunately didn't help. I'm not on a laptop, i'm using Bumblebee on a desktop pc in order to be able to use the dGPU on the linux host while still being able to assign it to my Windows VM via pcie passthrough.
