Acer VN7-791G - UEFI

Hi. I've had this laptop for a very long time... Apart from suspend/wake problems because of WiFi I had an issue which pissed me off more than anything.

If you have dualboot (on I suppose any Acer laptop, friend with different model has the same problem), the Acer prioritizes the Windows Boot Manager no matter what order you have set. I've found out that if you move the bootmgfw.efi file somewhere else it doesn't do that anymore...

Because I haven't managed to find anything regarding this problem before, I've decided to post my script and systemd service that runs it at boot.

There seems to be a certain aversion to modifications from the outside (in my case, entries added with efibootmgr didn't stick at all e.g.). It should stick however if you set it as the default entry within Acer's own boot menu, from my experience.

Re: Acer VN7-791G - UEFI

Well, I went to check it out, in UEFI I have only the HDD. For me the efibootmgr entries work fine, unless the Windows EFI is where it's supposed to be, it even creates the entry for it automatically with all additional settings.
