qemu-kvm PCI passthrough error

Hello everybody!
I'm trying to passthrough a nvidia G730 GPU to a win7(64) guest. I followed the instruction on https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PC … h_via_OVMF.
When the setting up is finished, I start the virtual machine and got the following error:

'Error starting domain: internal error: Non-endpoint PCI devices cannot be assigned to guests'

I googled but find no answer. Could anybody help me?

Re: qemu-kvm PCI passthrough error

https://github.com/libvirt/libvirt/blob … dev.c#L712 PCI_Express libvirt detected the device is not an endpoint that hardware could be directly connected to.

Re: qemu-kvm PCI passthrough error

Oh, thanks! What a fool I was, together with the GPU, I passed through an empty PCI E slot. This error disappeared after I removed it.
I encountered a new problem. The virtual win7 got stuck on the 'Starting Windows 7' screen and wouldn't go on.
Could anybody help?
