min12xxw Issue AND solution

min12xxw Pkgbuild returns an error saying "Url should not be an array" or something close.  The solution as documented by a previous commenter is to convert the url to a string by removing the parenthesis around the URL= line.

The package info does not show a maintainer and I have no clue how to submit an "updated" version of the package.  I did look at the AUR docs but they seem to go from the aspect of submitting a new package vs submitting an update to an existing one.

Try emailing the maintainer on the address listed in the PKGBUILD .

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Re: min12xxw Issue AND solution

If the maintainer doesn't react in a reasonable timeframe (a month?), then there is a link in the actions box to submit an orphan request. Then you could adopt the package and register yourself as the maintainer. When you are the maintainer, then the AUR will display a git:// url which you can use to clone the package, make changes, commit and push updates to the AUR.

Edit: If you want to maintain the package, take it seriously and do not abandon it again after fixing a single problem.

Re: min12xxw Issue AND solution

Thanks for all the replies.  I've contacted the maintainer via email and will see how it goes.  My mistake was doing an "info" on the package where the maintainer was blank as opposed to looking at the PKGBUILD since I'd already installed the package.
