If upstream still believes the issue is already fixed why would you expect an actual fix soon?

Oh, because I "presumed" the folk that stated it wasn't actually fixed above would report that to the upstream folk ... maybe I am wishful thinking

However, I'm just a freak without technical background and do not know how to do things like, for example, ask to reopen the bug.
It had closed, therefore I decided to install the proprietary drive to get around the problem.
Looking at the status of the bug report as well as the above I would suggest you try contacting upstream yourself and see if you can get the bug reopened / actioned.

This morning the same problem occurs after rolling upgrades for Manjaro. Nouveau video driver.
Falkon and eric6_browser crash soon after inputing web address in location bar.

We really do not care what happened to your Manjaro installation. (These boards are for the support of Archlinux only, a fact you agreed to when you signed up for these forums.)
But perhaps the fine folks at Manjaro will care. Ask them for support.

I mean, this may be a problem common to the archlinux based distribution.

This is nothing specific to archlinux. Other distros are patching webengine to disable GPU rendering on nouveau. If all distros keep doing that this will never get fixed upstream. So please comment on the upstream report until they acknowledge that this is still an issue.

I may be wrong, but I think the nouveau has problems with OpenGL when it comes to multiprocessing. I may be wrong, but I think the nouveau has problems with OpenGL when it comes to multiprocessing. The point is that Upstream is supposed to have code to disable opengl for nouveau but it's obviously not working (qtwebengine + opengl + nouveau). Already with the owner drive this error does not occur.
X-render is the only way my nouveau works. It crashes on OpenGL.
