Sauerbraten isn't launching since last update

So far I've been able to solve all issues by searching but this time I can't find a solution.
Therefore here's my first post in the forums wink

I have a machine with Nvidia optimus (and intel onboard graphics). Previously I was able to launch the game sauerbraten without a problem (with and without optirun).
Since the last update however I get the following output:

[linwop@LinArch ~]$ sauerbraten-client
Using home directory: /home/linwop/.config/sauerbraten/
init: sdl
Library: SDL 1.2.15
init: net
init: game
init: video: mode
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 153 (XFree86-VidModeExtension)
Minor opcode of failed request: 10 (XF86VidModeSwitchToMode)
  Value in failed request: 0x152
Serial number of failed request: 131
Current serial number in output stream: 133

After a lot of searching I found out, that my graphics driver has been moved from the nvidia package to the nvidia-390xx.
That solved the problem that optimus wasn't working at all.
But I still get the Xorg error when trying to launch the game.

Does anyone have a clue what could be the cause?
